• A lace wig is a wig made with human hair tied to a lace base. The two types of lace used in lace front wigs are French lace and Swiss lace. A "lace front" wig has lace at the hairline that is secured with liquid adhesive or tape. When the lace is adhered to your own hairline, it gives an invisible hairline, making it look as though the hair is growing out of your scalp. A “full lace” wig is lace around the entire wig perimeter. • All of our lace wigs are made with Remy hair. Remy hair is the complete hair strand that has not been weakened by stripping the cuticle. Careful processing creates Remy hair, which leaves the cuticle in place. • The result is stronger, more superior hair. Be mindful that the hair has undergone some processing, such as cleaning, curly perm or dyeing, so it should be treated gently. Remy hair is referred to as "cuticle hair" because the cuticle is left intact. Hair that is stripped of the cuticle is often chemically treated to give the hair an artificial softness and shine, which wears down over time, causing tangling and a poor appearance. Remy hair does not have this problem and is the highest quality hair you can purchase. • Each wig is handmade by experienced wigmakers. The chart below provides six simple steps for taking measurements for your lace front wig. A. Hair Preparation: If you have existing hair, we recommend styling your current hair like it will be under the wig when the wig is worn. In order to achieve accurate measuring results, either braid your hair straight back into flat cornrows along the scalp, braid hair in a flat beehive, or wrap it back in a flat tight ponytail. Make sure to get the hair as flat and tight as possible before taking the measurements. This will eliminate bulges that distort head contours. If you have hair that is less than 3" Inches in length or no hair at all, you can either take measurements when the hair is wet and flat along the scalp, apply a wig cap to flatten the hair, or simply take measurements directly to the scalp. Make sure to press firmly against the scalp and measure only where your hairline appears or wherever you desire the lace hairline to be constructed. B. Standard Size/Average Measurements: The averages below are just to give you an example. Not everyone will meet these measurements - some may be under or over and that is perfectly normal. Small: 20" to 21.5" circumference , (13.5-14"), 12", 12.5", 14.5" , 5" Medium: 22" to 22.5"circumference , 14", (12.5-13"), 13", 15.5", (5.5"-6") Large: 23" to 24.5"circumference , (15.5-16"), 13", 13.5", 16.5", (6.5-7") C. To Take Self Measurements: Use a soft measure tape to measure steps 1-6 below, you can use the typical tape measure used for clothing. We take measurements in whole and half inches, so please round your measurements up not down. Example: 12 3/4 should be rounded up to 13 and 12 1/4 should be rounded up to 12 1/2. IMPORTANT: Make sure that your measurements are ACCURATE. If you do not measure properly, your wig may not fit. So take your measurements at least 2-3 times to be sure.

1. The Circumference of the Head: Measure all around the head. Position tape measure so its edge follows the hair line around the head and nape of the neck. (Average measurement is 22.5" inches). 2.From Forehead to Nape of Neck: Measure from hairline at center of forehead straight back over crown to center of hairline at nape of neck. (Average measurement is 14 inches). 3.Ear to Ear across Front Hairline: At front of ear, measure from hairline at base of sideburn, up across the hair line along forehead to same point in front of other ear. (Average measurement is 12.5 inches). 4.From Ear to Ear over the Top of Head: Measure from hairline directly above the ear across top of head to the hairline directly above the other ear. (Average measurement is 13" inches ). 5.Point to Point:From temple to temple across the back of head. (Average measurement is 15.5 inches). 6.Nape of Neck: Measure the width of hairline across the nape of the neck. (Average measurement is 5.5 inches).
